FLETC and Partner Organization Colleagues,
We regret to inform you of the passing of our former Director Charles Rinkevich, on March 23, 2025. Director Rinkevich was the third Director of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and led our organization from 1983 to 1998. His unwavering dedication to public service and law enforcement profoundly impacted both our institution and the broader community. Under his leadership, we witnessed significant facility expansion, advancements in training methodologies, curriculum development, and the integration of technology into our programs.
Director Rinkevich's vision led to the establishment of the National Center for State and Local Training and the FLETC Graduates Memorial. His unwavering integrity, humility, and compassion made him a mentor to many and left an indelible mark on our organization.
As we remember his contributions, let us be inspired by his commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration in law enforcement training.
